Similar to Day After Tomorrow where the “3rd World nations” (read: places where POC live) save the white Americans.
They were by the same director. LOL
Go figure.
I seriously can’t with these movies. “Almighty whitey saves the day/lives on to spread the tale” movies are overdone. WAY overdone. Like clockwork, you already know how the movie is going to go just by looking at the damn preview…
Ngl, I loved how in The Day After Tomorrow, Mexico closed up its border and the Americans were trying to illegally cross it like those scary Mexicans do when they cross the border into the US. It was a nice change of roles, even though that ended when the US and Mexico reached a ~compromise~.
OH THE IRONY WAS NOT LOST ON ME TRUST ME AHAHAHAAHAAHAHA
I remember being in high school watching that movie. All of us bust out laughing TOO HARD when that scene came on….
It’s like the movie version of Farnham’s Freehold or something.

I totally noticed that, and I also noticed all the white protagonists were like “Clearly nobody lives here!” I swear that film was the worst.
