Sex-negative messages don’t keep people from having sex. They keep people from having good sex. They keep people from having pride in their sexuality, from sexual self-awareness. They keep people from asking questions about sex, and communicating with their partners. They discourage experimentation. [Image description: The actors Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron at the London premiere of the movie Snow White and the Huntsman. All three of them are light-skinned, thin and tall, and are standing on a patch of fake grass while other actors congregate behind them. Kristen is sneering, showing her teeth and red lipstick, as she extends her middle finger to the other two while she kneels on the turf. She is wearing a black lacy see-through dress and her brown hair is pulled back in a bun. The other two are looking at her with surprise and laughing. Chris is wearing a gray suit with a black dress shirt, black shoes, a black cord around his neck, and his blond hair is slicked back into a small ponytail. His hand is on Charlize’s waist. Charlize is also blonde, with her hair rolled under in the back. Most of her head is turned away from the camera, and she has large, dangly turquoise earrings. She is wearing a black, gauzy dress which shows off her long legs, and black high-heeled shoes.]
Kristen Stewart needs to knock it off with sticking up her middle finger. It’s not cute, it’s not attractive, it’s not hot and it certainly does not make her look like she’s such a bad ass. It makes her look ignorant, immature and asinine. Enough with the middle finger nonsense Kristen. Time for you to grow up. Stop acting like a spoiled brat that needs slapped.
i disagree, i think she can do whatever she wants and i think you wouldn’t be saying that if Rob was doing it, and he has in fact done it on occasion…i haven’t heard a word from you judging him for that.
she’s not obligated to be cute and attractive and hot, and i certainly don’t think her sharing a private moment with her friend in front of cameras makes her ignorant, immature, and asinine. plenty of grown people give others the finger when that person has pissed them off, and i don’t think Charlize actually pissed her off, i think they’re just kidding around.
bet if it was a guy he would be a ~*cool and badass rockstar*~
my friends and I flip each other off, we genuinely are kidding around. We don’t think much of it. I cannot pretend to divine into Kirsten’s mind (or any actor’s, actually!), but they are people. They lark round, too.
This is really no different than what people say about her facial expressions. She’s held to a really unfair double standard because she doesn’t fit notions of what a feminine actress should look like. I haven’t seen anything with her in it (I REALLY have no desire to see any of the Twilight movies) but she looks like she doesn’t want to fit in with the establishment after having been typecast as the ultimate Mary Sue, and that’s always something I can get behind.
~*it’s not cool it makes you look like a fool!!!!*~
lollll omdz
yeah, I am not really a Kirsten fan and haven’t seen her in anything, but I am pretty tired of all the jawing about Kirsten not fulfilling the smiley-cute-happy-feminine actress stereotype. If I actively dislike a celebrity, it’s generally because they are unapologetically abusive/racist/sexist, even more so if they use their status and money to enable their awful behaviour.
but some people dislike an actor because they are A Little Rude Sometimes.
we all have our priorities I guess?
It feels odd to be a fan of K Stew without seeing any of her movies.
OAKLAND — A Skyline High School senior is dead after Oakland police profiled and opened fire on him.
The summary execution of 18-year-old Alan Dwayne Blueford happened near 90th Avenue and Birch Street in Oakland early Sunday morning. Mr. Blueford and two friends were standing outside waiting for some young lady friends to come pick them up. According to Oakland police, two of their cops “believed one of them were carrying a hidden gun.” It is unclear how this was determined based on their looks, nor is it clear why that would matter in a country which prides itself on gun ownership rights.
Police say the young men ran (obviously fearing for their lives in the face of paid, constitutionally-protected killers) when they approached them. One of the cops, whose names are being protected by the city of Oakland, ran after Mr. Blueford for two blocks before recklessly firing a gun at the young man, killing him instantly. The cop struck Mr. Blueford three times and shot himself in the foot once. Of course, the killer was rewarded with a paid vacation (aka “paid administrative leave”), despite the long-standing U.S. Supreme Court decision in Tennessee v. Garner, 471 U.S. 1 (1985), which specifically outlaws police shooting at fleeing suspects without probable cause.
Following standard protocol, state-run media outlets have reported extensively about a so-called “criminal record” of Mr. Blueford, which is their way of justifying and encouraging summary executions by police. An attorney for Oakland Police, Harry Stern, said the summary execution was “100 percent” justified and in line with police policy. Though there is no way of knowing the truth regarding this execution, if what police say is true, Mr. Blueford should have used the alleged firearm to protect himself from the state organization members who know the policy of paid vacations when they murder Americans. The entire situation should have and could have been avoided have the cops not profiled these young men by approaching them for absolutely no reason except for harassment.
The family of Mr. Blueford has hired an attorney for a possible civil suit, however the killer will not be charged and should be back on the streets after his foot heals from the self-inflicted, reckless gunshot wound. Mr. Blueford was scheduled to graduate in June.
Our thoughts are with the Blueford family.
Just over and over and over again…
So senseless, so tragic. I feel so sorry for this man and his family.
Typing his name into Google doesn’t even yield predetermined searches; this is what we mean when we say the media/society legitimately does not care about the deaths, especially the unjustified ones, of Black people.

This explains so much.
I am officially scared.
I’m terrified.
WOW. He really does.

Despite being labelled as “r*******” by the age of five, modern Kennedy scholars typically agree that Rosie’s so-called retardation was likely a mere learning disability.
The pressure of keeping up with two brilliant older brothers and her social butterfly younger sister Kathleen took a significant toll on her self-esteem. She was extremely self-conscious about her weight, even though her sisters readily admitted she was the prettiest of the bunch.
Her private letters and journals reveal a heartbreaking fixation with social acceptance and approval from her family. They also indicate a much greater intelligence than she was given credit for. As she reached young adulthood, she began to sink into deep depression.
However, it should be noted that Rosie, as she preferred to be called, was almost universally adored by those who knew her. Her debut into London society was a roaring success; after playing off a brief onstage stumble on stage with her trademark good humour, she effectively endeared herself to the royal court. She also impressed Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt during a family visit to the White House.
She loved Winnie The Pooh, sailing, and fashion. As the eldest sister, she was the one who the younger Kennedy siblings came to for comfort and companionship. At the age of 21, the little girl that doctors called “moron” was studying the Montessori method in the hopes of becoming a teacher for the leaning disabled.
And was then brutally lobotomized in her twenties because she was the family embarrassment, a lobotomy rendering her incapable of life beyond breathing. Her family never visited her and her younger siblings were lied to about what became of her until they had grown up prejudiced. A nephew who grew to be disowned compared himself to her, and he was probably her only real sympathizer.
Rosemary Kennedy’s fate could very well have been mine, and although it was not (because I successfully escaped), this haunts me.
This is really sad.
Ever since I heard about Rose, I’ve thought the whole Kennedy family can just fuck right off.

TRIXIE TANG: “If only I could meet a boy confident enough to admit he likes Kissy Kissy Goo Goo and Skull Squisher, I’d go out with him even if he wore a stupid pink hat. If boys did more girl stuff then girls would be able to do more boy stuff.”
Oh yeah, that time Timmy Turner wished he was a girl?

Cat Questioned in Connection With Catnip Bust
By Jennifer Uhlich, FluffPo Special Correspondent
Sir Henry Shackleton, a self-described “global explorer” who recently settled in Northern California, was held for questioning Monday after police raided a massive catnip den directly across the street from his residence.
“We found evidence he may be connected to this illicit operation,” says detective Roger McAward. “He’s a kitty of interest in our ongoing investigation.”
Neighbors describe Shackleton as “a colorful character with a good heart,” and expressed disbelief that he could be involved in criminal activity. ”He may have lived a pretty wild life before now, but he’s never caused any trouble in this neighborhood,” says Michelle Gelmann.
Randy Miller, another neighbor, did recall seeing Henry looking glassy-eyed and covered with green flakes on several occasions, but said, “I thought it was just a cat thing.”
